Minimal design for Maximum style - The Krakow 200 m2 House by Ola Wolczyk
August 12, 2017
As interior designers in Dubai we strive to deliver designs that will fulfill the individual requirements of our client. However it is not always essential to provide an excessively complex solution to fulfill the function and aesthetic value of a concept, as functionality and elegance can be achieved with visual simplicity. In architecture, the objective is to create drama whilst understanding the effect of working with colour and shape harmoniously to enhance the environment and optimise the interior space. To maintain artistic integrity, the designer must also strike the right balance between inspirational and practical design.
As such, this 200 m2 house in Krakow by Polish architect Ola Wolczyk is an inspiration to me as it serves all the needs of the inhabitant whilst demonstrating bold originality. The exterior design has been completed in a contemporary style, utilizing transparency to highlight the angular interior structure. Whilst the visually striking concept is minimalist and modern, it also enables for a relaxing and comfortable environment for the user. The interior plan maximises the space to provide practical, spacious areas throughout, whilst contrasting colour combinations and modern, streamlined furniture optimises functionality whilst emphasising the dramatic architectural features.
