What Businesses Can Take Away From The Bin Sina Pharmacy Mall Of The Emirates Redesign
September 19, 2013Retail design has changed over the last several years. What you once thought was simply not applicable design to certain businesses can now work as one of the ways to attract consumers. Consumers want to be surprised – “wowed”. One great example is Bin Sina Pharmacy at Mall of the Emirates.
Bin Sina has come away from the traditional look and feel of a pharmacy. Instead of the cold, almost antiseptic appeal of most pharmacies, the Bin Sina Pharmacy Mall of the Emirates redesign has taken on what can only be thought of as intriguing and immersive. Referred to as a “boutique pharmacy,” the redesign entailed working on a 47m2 space at the Mall of Emirates and fusing pastel shades of blues, yellows, and pinks to the entirely white palette of the interior space. According to a report, this intentional mix created a whimsical and softer touch to the space.
The Dubai interior design company that worked on this impressive transformation, Brand Creative, also added interesting features such as a bubble wall and what the agency refers to as “the stairs.” The curving vertebrae of a human being inspired the visual merchandising feature. The bubble wall is pumped with effervescent water, which is designed to highlight the natural and plant-based ingredients on top-of-the-line cosmetic products.
As a result of Brand Creative’s ingenuity, the redesign won the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) award, under the 2013 Middle East, Best of Retail category.
The refreshing new look and feel of the Bin Sina Pharmacy probably has attracted an entirely new set of customers. From being seemingly thought of as an outlet to buy medicines or vitamins, Bin Sina’s softer and almost glowing appeal can now invite more women to shop for top quality derma-cosmetic products. By adding a skin analysis area, Bin Sina’s redesigned interiors achieve a sense of credibility. Ultimately, by inspiring customers to walk in, look around and ultimately buy something they need, the redesigned interior space has been able to boost brand loyalty for the pharmacy.
With Web trends pointing to more shoppers buying through online retail stores, many brick-and-mortar shops now, more than ever, need to rethink the way they can use interior design to entice consumers to walk through their doors. With the vision and expertise of interior design companies like Brand Creative, your business can get the foot traffic, sales and overall status you have set out to achieve.
